Fishmeister
I didn't get to attend, family obligations but reading these posts got my fever up so I headed out Saturday for some gill fishing. Used tubes and micro jigs, fish 1-3 foot deep. Most were longears, with a few redears thrown in. Here is a pic of one of the larger redears 11 inches long. Terry Beeson
I was sorry to see you wasn't there Terry. Mama wont let you come out and play in the rain huh? Actually I know how that goes cause I live with fear everyday but sometimes she will let me go fishing. :P Well, actually, "Mama" was working... healing the sick... and the rug rat was home and the plans were to take her to the stables so she could go to the barrel race and then head up in time to eat fish... . When she finally got out of bed, she indicated she did not want to go... That put me in a bind and the rain didn't help matters. Yeah, I have to say that Cindy is pretty good to me about fishing and hunting and I could probably go more. But since she doesn't complain about me going when I do (my first wife did) and encourages my hunting and fishing, I tend a lot of times to try and spend time with her over hunting and fishing. Funny how that works... Yeah, we need to try it again. I need to show you how much better fly fishing is... I love catching big gills on lite tackle. I hate to admit it but like Terry, I am a fish porn addict. Is there a local chapter of Fish Porn anonymous. I would rather be fishin'. gonefishin
I guess the first thing is to ask if everyone wants to try it again. If so when? I was thinking about trying it again in the fall. Maybe September or early October. What does everyone think? Any ideas. I would rather be fishin'. "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch.
