Kansas Fly Fisher Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 Just got home! Ended up being a good day. Shortly after we parted it started to clear up so we headed to the bait store, got some worms for the granddaughter and drowned a couple. Didn't get any takers, but had a good outing. Ate lunch at the floating Cafe and headed back home. Great meeting you guys - we'll have to do it again and this time hopefully mother nature will cooperate. Wayne SW/MO Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 Looks like y'all missed the worst of it, radar shows a real nasty storm headed that way. Oh well, we need the water. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
vonreed Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 So, How did you guys do today? How many keepers did you get to fry?
Terry Beeson Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 Sorry I didn't make it guys... Was suppose to take the kid to a barrel race, but she backed out... By that time I was too... uh... upset to make it up there... gonefishin Posted June 11, 2007 Author Posted June 11, 2007 So, How did you guys do today? How many keepers did you get to fry? It ended being a wash out so we actually did very little fishing. I don't mind the rain (I always carry rain gear) but when the lightning gets to going that is a different story. I dont see a lot of percentage in waving a fishing rod (aka lightning rod) around during a lightning storm. Anyway I got to meet Kansas Fly Fisher. He is a really nice guy and I hope to get together with him when the weather is more cooperative. I am thinking about planning another outing this fall. I would rather be fishin'.
