Hey all, I moved to St. Louis a year ago or so and recently just discovered Ozark stream fishing for smallmouth. I went for the first time two or so weeks ago wade fishing and fell in love. I really like throwing soft plastics like tubes and words as well as jigs. But I’ve read cranks and topwater are a lot more effective. I’m here to make some friends. Discover new water, and learn as much about this as possible!

Hi Jordan, I responded to a couple of your posts of FB.  You've got the Ozark stream bug for sure.  I wouldn't say topwaters and cranks are a LOT more effective.  If you are used to fishing tubes and jigs you'll catch a lot of fish on them and probably more than you would on the other stuff.  But I fish topwaters, cranks, and spinnerbaits 95% or more of the time in the summer and do just fine with them.

Yeah man, I really appreciate all of your knowledge! I’ve definitely learned a lot already from your post on here and on the fb pages. Thanks for frequent advice!
