Members Jordan Fenwick Posted August 26, 2019 Members Posted August 26, 2019 Hey all, I moved to St. Louis a year ago or so and recently just discovered Ozark stream fishing for smallmouth. I went for the first time two or so weeks ago wade fishing and fell in love. I really like throwing soft plastics like tubes and words as well as jigs. But I’ve read cranks and topwater are a lot more effective. I’m here to make some friends. Discover new water, and learn as much about this as possible!
Al Agnew Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 Hi Jordan, I responded to a couple of your posts of FB. You've got the Ozark stream bug for sure. I wouldn't say topwaters and cranks are a LOT more effective. If you are used to fishing tubes and jigs you'll catch a lot of fish on them and probably more than you would on the other stuff. But I fish topwaters, cranks, and spinnerbaits 95% or more of the time in the summer and do just fine with them. FishnDave 1

I’ve definitely learned a lot already from your post on here and on the fb pages. Thanks for frequent advice!
