MOBass Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 Has the moss flushed out of the lake yet? Are the creeks fishable? I am looking to get down to Taney Sunday and fish from Empire to just above Branson. I would hate to make a trip down to find the lake un fishable.
Steve Smith Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 Mo... you might give Lilley's Landing a call. I fished the dam end Saturday, and everyone else who has posted so far did too. It was clean and clear in that stretch. ___________________________ AKA Flysmith - Cassville MO
Members D.T. Posted June 12, 2007 Members Posted June 12, 2007 Stayed at Lilleys last week and by Thursday the water was clear down to there. We boated down past rockaway on Thursday there was large patches of debris in just a few areas in the middle of the lake. Im not sure how clear the water is normaly down that far but I couldnt see more than a foot deep. We parked the boat down there and me and the kids swam in about 8 feet of water one of them lost their goggles and I tried to swim down and find them but the water was to dark. This could be the normal clarity I dont know we normaly fish from Lilleys up. Dave
Jeremy Hunt Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 D.T. The moss has cleared out because of generation. The only bad part is it will be right back in a couple of days if no generation is scheduled. Where there's stronger current, you will not get as much on your line. However in the shallow water with little to no current you will see a great deal of it. And it will get on your line when landing fish or stripping in your line. They need to run it hard for a week and that will do the trick for a awhile. The fishing is still great so the moss is worth it I guess. Accept the drift.....<>>><flysandguides.comVisit my blog
