WebFreeman Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Don't know how high the water is. I did Steel Creek to Pruitt in one day once. I really felt like I was somewhere farther away than Arkansas (no joke intended.) The Trails Illustrated map is really detailed and you scout a good campsite. We camped under Jim Bluff once. That was pretty cool. “Many go fishing all their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.” — Henry David Thoreau Visit my web site @ webfreeman.com for information on freelance web design.

Members ozarks Posted June 20, 2007 Members Posted June 20, 2007 DON, Did you camp in the drive-in or walk-in camping area at Tyler Bend 6/15-6/17?
Don Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 We camped in the group camp area. You need at least 10 people and they are reserveable. You cannot drive directly into camp but parking is close enough. We had about 15 people and 8 tents. It was my first float on the Buffalo. It was the first float ever for all 3 of my daughters. Beautiful scenery but many canoes on a Saturday. I'm more interested in float and fish on a weekday. Don Don May I caught you a delicious bass.
Wayne SW/MO Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 This is a great area for solitude. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Danimal Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Elephant Rock--Lower Buffalo. RELEASE THOSE BROWNIES!!
