Members fly.flinger Posted June 14, 2007 Members Posted June 14, 2007 FWIW, I finally spoke with someone @ Cowskin Canoe and Sylvia says they are indeed open for business. The river was up to almost 9' at the cowskin gauge tuesday night. it is currently falling at 6.5' The river will probably still be murky this weekend (at least the lower end and espy if there is more rain) and fishing likely still out of whack.
ollie Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Thanks, I didn't get time myself to check into it. "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
Members fly.flinger Posted June 15, 2007 Author Members Posted June 15, 2007 Yer welcome. There could be some confusion, as the concession has moved to the south side (river side) of the county road that turns up the north side of the river to noel. It use to be on the north side. i suppose the one hut there can manage access to the river & campground and also service canoers. their canoes are also generally stored during the season at put in points up river.
Wayne SW/MO Posted June 16, 2007 Posted June 16, 2007 Glad to hear that. I was by there last Fall and they were closed, but didn't look to be out of business. They're very accommodating people. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
