Crappie fishing April 26

Took my FIL out to try to find some crappie Sunday.  Decided to try a creek I’ve never been in north of the 412 bridge.  Most fish we found were still pretty deep by mid morning with that bright sunshine.  I’m sure there were folks catching them shallow too but we found some nice bunches of fish in 15 -20 fow and decided to stay on them instead of heading shallow.  Caught quite a few, maybe 12-15, fish but a lot of them were short.  Ended up with a nice mess within the three hours we were there.  Big fish around 1.5.  All on jigs.  Water temp in the creek arms was around 64.  Main lake was 62.
