Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted January 19, 2006 Root Admin Posted January 19, 2006 Can someone share exactly where Capps is? Also, what kind of access is there and directions to them. Thanks
Steve Smith Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Phil; The Missouri Trout Hunter's web page has directions and a rough map of Capps creek. It is a beautiful place for the family and worth a trip. Pack your lunch as they have a really nice park there. http://www.missouritrouthunter.com/CappsCreek.htm ___________________________ AKA Flysmith - Cassville MO
Members Pete Posted January 20, 2006 Members Posted January 20, 2006 On highway 60, go west of Monett towards Granby. About 5 or 6 miles from Monett (that's a guess), you will see a sign for Jolly Mill Park on the south side of the road. You will turn south there and follow the signs to the mill, which is on Capps Creek. There also is another turn a few miles later, with a brown conservation sign that has something like "Capps Creek Conservation Area" on it.
Members Motor City Posted January 23, 2006 Members Posted January 23, 2006 Can someone share exactly where Capps is? Also, what kind of access is there and directions to them. Thanks This is a pretty good map coming off of the Mo dept of conservation site. I stopped in there last weekend, and checked it out. Saw some empty corn cans in the water above the bridge, did not see any fish. I did see a few rising down below the bridge, but did not see what they were. I am waiting on a new 3wt rod to fish Capps with and will post after I get back. http://mdc.mo.gov/documents/area_brochures/9725map.pdf
