Members bogey Posted June 4, 2020 Members Posted June 4, 2020 Been to Norfolk a few times along with BS and TRock. I think I like norfork enough to start spending more time there. Kinda looking at the udall area house. What can you tell me about that far up the river? I know white bass run that way, what about sm and walleye. Stipers? Just some basic info.
Riverwhy Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 Walleye certainly are up there and all the way to the forks of the river. Stripers are there during parts of the year: A few smallmouth but a bit tough for me in that area.
rps Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 This may be an odd suggestion, but why don't you hire Binks for day. Ask him to fish you in that section. Question him about fish and seasons, not spots. You will learn a bunch in 6 or 8 hours.

I will use guides as I lock in on a definite area.
Members bogey Posted June 4, 2020 Author Members Posted June 4, 2020 What would I be missing by looking mo side vs AR? I may have more opportunity soon to get there. Maybe buying a place if all works out. Does the river stay high enough to run a bass boat on?

Fish will relate to classic structure, inside bend flats, outside bend transitions, anomalous rock lines/fences/potholes/mounds. Mo? AR? Choose a marina/area that suits the way you live and want to fish. BTW I have heard great advantages to both the top and bottom end of the lake. Others will post that know more than I about the lake.
mojorig Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 Binks mainly on fishes down on the lower end of the lake. Tom and Sean Reynolds are known to fish in MO starting in September through the fall. Members bogey Posted June 5, 2020 Author Members Posted June 5, 2020 I have booked with Tom Reynolds STR Outfitters for a couple of trips in June. Just going to his spots, but I should learn about the lake some.
