Nice night, no fish

Had a couple of hours to kill with the wife and kids headed to Branson..decided to run 15 minutes over to the James by RiverCut golf course.

No fish but saw a lotta life, watched two smaller largemouth bust a group of shad right by my feet, saw a couple of banded sculpin about an inch long, some huge gar surfacing, a few snakes dont know what kind..then on my way back to the car spotted a couple of really nice largemouth swimming back up in a small creek. Ran my skitter pop right over them with no luck.

Also had a father decide to teach his daughter swimming lessons right in the eddy i was fishing..oh well thats what you get closer to town i guess.

Gonna try tomorrow on Taneycomo and hope my luck changes. The last couple trips have been pretty uneventful for me. But i think some of my new bunny sculpin jigs will change the outcome 😊
