Members Bob in MO Posted June 16, 2020 Members Posted June 16, 2020 Just spoke with Hootentown Canoe Rental and was informed they no longer shuttle to Mudbank. Back in 2016 they shuttled my truck to Mudbank for $20. Was told they no longer were allowed to do that. Now, they will pick you up at McCall Bridge for $17.50 per kayak. Being from the other side of the state, was wondering if anyone had any other shuttle solutions for this particular stretch.
vonreed Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 There is no other standard options. Best bet would be to float down to hootentown but it has the party crowd.

It does but they are usually friendly and harmless. Definitely aren't hurting the fishing. Plus that section of river gets watched by conservation and LEO more than any other section. I've been pulled over for a license check on that section 3 times. And the conservation officer has always had a LEO with him. And from the banter on the radio there are some hiding in the woods. I did speak to a guy one day that had been ticketed for short fish and they took his pipe. Funny thing is he wasn't upset about it at all. Said they were just doing their job. Hootentown might seem sketchy, hell it might even be sketchy, but there are nice people running it and they don't put up with any bull.
