Chief Grey Bear Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 ok... here are a few tests..... check the nails in 5 days... the coke will rust the nail.. what do you think that does to your gut??? I don't believe I have ever had Coke in my gut for 5 days. Thats an awful long time to hole your pee. Coke... goes better with Crown Royal... End of discussion... Keeping this on an outdoor theme, I prefer Wild Turkey. If Coke is not available, well, then, I will just have to fly solo. Thom Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 jcoberly: You might want to check your sources. NRA doesn't list pepsi on their list of corporate sponser supporting anti gun laws. Mcdonalds which sell only coke is also on the NRA list. http://www.gunowners.org/fs0302.htm Click on their site. BTW The Royals, The Chiefs, The Rams, The Cardinals are all on their list so I guess I can't see anymore football or baseball games this year. Put me down for Pepsi. I also like coke but prefer Pepsi. I am also opposed to gun laws that restrict my constitutional right to bear arms. Thom Harvengt
jcoberley Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 I think taking away law-abiding people rights to bear arms should never happen. Hum let see take away their rights so the bad guys know its SAFE for them to have and use their guns. Your never going to keep guns out of the thugs hands so why make us easy prey for them. You know what you just sold me on never supporting the Royals, Chiefs, Rams, or Cardinals again. I know right from wrong and I know supporting anti gun is wrong. Fish slow and easy! Thom Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 I am still curious on how you came up with pepsi being anti gun? I googled and search the web extensively and can find nothing to support the acusation. I don't think i would like anyone saying I am anti anthing without proof. I may have missed it but lot of people depend on pepsi for their jobs. Let's not give them a bad rap. Thom Harvengt
gonefishin Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 They used to donate a lot of money to anti-gun lobbyists. I don't know if that is still their policy. There used to be mention of it in different gun magazines. This does go back a few years, they may have changed their policy since that time. I would rather be fishin'. jcoberley Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 I dont recall the year but it sticks in my mind it was around 1985 to the tune of close to a million bucks. I don't recall all the numbers however I do recall something of it and I recall thats when I stoped drinking pepsi. I think their are others that recall that also if they would be afraid to speek up. I see a lot of others on the list that is now on mine. I wont support them. I am old fasion like that. People should never support anything or one that they feel is in the wrong. Just know that the road to hell is paved with good intentions....... Fish slow and easy! Borrowed this one from..........Well you know who! A proud memer of P.E.T.A (People Eating Tasty Animals)
gonefishin Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 I don't have any dogs in this race. I rarely drink either anymore. Water or Tea is my preference. I make my own tea and fill my water jug with well water from my own faucet, so I really don't support either of them. Somehow I think the point of this topic was to show that people will argue over anything. To this I say I would rather be fishin'.
