Micheal Kyle Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Taney is on fire they have been shutting the water off around midnight for the past several nights. The water is falling pretty quick so fishing the fall has worked out real nice. Last night there were several people from the gang that were down there. I had a Friend up from Canton, GA. It was his first time to ever night fish and he is hooked. Brad had several fish that were in the 16-17 inch range. Brad told me that he counted 21 fish in a row for me, I was shocked I don't count. The biggest fish that I had last night was around 16-17 inches. Brad and I started out right when they shut the water off working our way down the gravel bar to the point and then down to the big hole by the time we got through the big hole it was 3:30. I was really wanting to fish up by the cable but did not make it up there. Eric said that he fished in between 1 and 2 and had about 50 fish. My dad started fishing while the water was on in front of 1 had 4 fish one of which Dwayne measured and it was a 20 inch brown, well actually dad said it was 1/4 inch short of making 20. When we were walking back up to the truck gathering everyone up my dad was fishing the gauntlet and and he said he was picking quite a few up as well. The flies of choice last night with the moon going below the tree line quickly making it pretty dark and foggy last night were the Ace of Spades, and Blood Red. My dad did say that he picked a few up on Evil Leprechaun. All were a size 10 Mohair Leech. Between the 4 of us we had over 200 fish. Michael To Know People Is To Know Thier Ways!
