I haven't seen anything about fly tying classes lately. Are their any classes being held at Lilly's or anywhere else near Branson.

I am coming down the week of July the 29th with my grandson and we would be interested in any type of instruction and sharing that week. Zach has become pretty good at tying but wants to learn more fly's.

On my way home from breakfast this AM some geese from the lake ran across the road and two fley into my SUV and died on the side of the road.

Just curious if any of the feathers on these poor souls are worth salvaging?

There are some nice colors black and white and all sizes.

BTW I am still curious if there are any classed going in Branson area next week.

I posted the above thread late in afternoon so it rolled off without any reply.

I would grab some of their wing feathers and you can make a wing for dry flies... (maybe its mallard but go ahead and grab them anyways) off the other side of em you can get biots for dries, midges and a tail of prince and such... So just grab a number of things and expect that youll find these feathers rather valuable in your tying. I live in Oklahoma and dont get up there so I dont know much about classes
