Forsythian Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 Heading to Elbow with the 12yrold this coming Saturday... the plan is to bass/ bait fish in the evening, set up some juglines, pick up some bait at Lead Hill, then drop down a light after dark. Stone et.al., if you're out there I'd appreciate a little advice. Would you recommend setting up off a point? bluff end? deep pocket? thanks! Cenosillicaphobiac
stone9-7=2 Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 I set up on a bluff end that has a long point coming out from it. I tie to the bluff & pull out till i get in 60 t 70 feet of water, then if you want to move to a different depth you can loosen the anchor rope & pull back towards the bluff to where you want, this works prett well also in finding what depth there at. Any more info you might need i'll be back on Thur night.
Forsythian Posted July 27, 2007 Author Posted July 27, 2007 Thanks Stone, I'll let you know how we do. Cenosillicaphobiac
Forsythian Posted August 17, 2007 Author Posted August 17, 2007 We finally went last Saturday (8/11 it might have been). We set up in the mouth of a cut along sunset bluff. Fishing was not great, we caught nothing but gar, but it was a very cool experience. Nice breeze, new moon, the Perseid meteor shower, big snapping turtle, all combined for a real fun night. I'm ready to go again this coming Saturday... Cenosillicaphobiac
