CMAC
Ate at Chuckwagon BBQ two weeks ago off of HWY 7 outside of Warsaw (across from Pro's Choice). Excellent food, help and prices. Try their homemade chocolate pie, can't go wrong after eating a half rack of ribs, beans and fries!!! Mmmmm.
loo10
Great Idea... I'm going to throw my 2 cents in on where we go on BRANSON when we're down there flinging flies. These places have come thru trial-n-error... 1.) Mr G's Chicago Pizza. Downtown Branson. Commercial & Atlantic Unbelieveable deep dish Chicago style pizza. Try the "Mr. G's Favorite". 2.) Charley's Steak & Ale. Hwy 76. Good food. All you can eat ribs on Fridays. Maybe Dawn will even sing to you. 3.) Danna's. Great BBQ, burgers, and chocolate malts! 4.) Backyard Burger on Hwy 76. It's where the old Burger King used to be. I pass this place on my way back home after an afternoon of chasing rainbows. Stays open till 11. Best tasting Backyard Burgers I ever had. Beats every other one I've been to. Hope this gives helps some of you out. Now.....where do you get the best breakfast in Branson??? I don't know how you screw up breakfast but I've been to a few that can! loo10 Rich Looten Springfield, Missouri "If people don't occasionally walk away from you shaking their heads, you're doing something wrong."- John Gierach

brownieman
In Warsaw from my experience...Cow Patties, down by Caseys has a good breakfast...they used to serve a huge burger as the name implies...about the size of a cow pattie. It's ok but breakfast is good there. Benton House serves a good dinner...have always got a good steak there and tasty prime rib...sometimes better than others but that just depends on the beef at hand. Have had their lobster tail a couple of times...both times were good and the lob tail was huge. Like CMAC said, Chuckwagon does have goo BBQ. Hard to beat a good meal after a day on the water. Thom
Loo10: I will be in Branson so I will take you advice on the stops. Thanks for the info. My experience is that Branson is one of the best places to go for fishing and fun, but the food is pretty over priced and mediorce or I just don't know where to go. There were a few additions on the landing that weren't too bad but kind of a hassle to find parking near enough. I know why those lunkers don't travel to far from thier spot to feed. I don't like to walk a mile for lunch either. Thom Harvengt
Leonard
The real food is NOT in Branson... You take a 15 minute drive south of Branson (toward big ceder lodge), there is a little gas station on hwy 86 (on the way to big ceder)... This little gas station sell Oscar ribs (smoked ribs)....MMMMMM yes there are a few around town... but if you want a guy that knows what he is doing and know how to smoke rib... go south of town... this ribs goes GREAT with hot seahorses Leonard http://www.taneycomonights.com
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted July 27, 2007 Root Admin Share Posted July 27, 2007 You know you're in the sticks when someone tells you to go to a gas station for "real" food Ate at Danna's today for lunch... one of the best in town, good priced. The Mexican food place on the Landing, best in town. Took family there last night by pontoon, parked at the Bass Pro courtesy dock. My bro-on-law had the rib eye and said it was the best he'd ever had and he's a NY boy. Other south-of-the-border places are above average too. There's a Tai place across from WalMart that's excellent. The Chi-Fi food everyplace else is just ok. Farm House still makes a mean breakfast. Don Allenbaugh
The Thai resturant across from WalMart is no more. They had a sign up a couple of weeks ago saying they hadn't renewed their license. Called this morning and the phone has been disconnected. Had great Thai food. Don A
Members catfish
I'm familiar with most of these and have tried them but where is Danna's and what is the menu?
Members catfish
Anyone have a report on K.T.'s BBQ in Gassville, AR. I heard it had changed owners. Just wondering how it may be holding up. It was one of my favorite stops in White River Country. Just haven't had the chance to get in and check it out lately since I got the news.
