Members Tyler Posted July 29, 2007 Members Posted July 29, 2007 Well went down to Kimberling area this morning. Got there around 7am and fished 15-25 ft shorlines and the back of a few coves for a little bit. Nothing.. I ran a few jigs and ended up watching them bust on the water so i threw a chatter bait and still no action. So we went straight to indian point area to a few deep docks 40-60 FT and boy what a turn around. A buddy and I caught a mix of Kentucky and Large mouths. 6 total keepers and 7 white bass. The whites were all over 3 lbs. They all were caught on a spoon. This all happened in a matter of two hours or so when there was still an overcast with no wind. Afterall it was a good day and what a good fight they put up! techo Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Yaaaay! It has been slow for the last week or two for me. You did better than the day I hired a guide. He even used live bait on the front of the boat, while i fished plastic off of the back. Did they come up after the spoon? Tim Carpenter

If this is what you mean. And OR yeah they all got in the boat. I normally have great luck with spoons on TR. Didnt know that they would work well with overcast and in the morning. But i found out that they do. Hey Tyler, Vertical jigging? Yeah we were vertical jigging the spoons.
