Members Zac Seale Posted August 1, 2022 Members Posted August 1, 2022 Back in the game after being boat-less for about the last 8 years. Wondering if anyone is still fishing crappie at night under lights? And if so having any luck? Wanting to take kids this weekend and try to fill a cooler. Thanks!
waterpossum Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 Sorry no one in the know has replied to your question. There was a report on less than a week ago of someone catching a limit of crappie in 30' under lights. Nearly every weekend there are usually at least two boats tied to bridge piers on the H or Y bridge at Ruark. In the past I used to anchor north of Mutton close to the channel in 40' and did well. To do that usually means using two anchors because of the wind.
