Members Knee Deep Posted August 13, 2007 Members Posted August 13, 2007 Michael, Michael, Michael, why in the world did you sell Old Stumbler just tiny hooks. I'm not sure that I can see them let along tie a piece of thread and a CDC to them. I'm now going to have to get a new eye exam and purchase some stronger glasses and that should cost me about $600. All this because we ran into Mo Trout Bum. Thanks again, Pam A group of trout is called a hover
Micheal Kyle Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 I tryed to tell him but he said that he's not the one tying them. I told him he does have a hell of a wife for doing that, Michael To Know People Is To Know Thier Ways!
Terry Beeson Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Yeah, my eyes are pretty bad... Pam can you tie up a couple dozen for me too? But, hey... if he got out of there and only bought hooks, you're very fotunate... Michael is very persuasive... You sure he didn't buy a new rod, reel, vest, waders, boots, gear bag, fly box, sun glasses, vise, tools, and a box full of material? Ooops... maybe I shouldn't have said that... Members Knee Deep Posted August 14, 2007 Author Members Posted August 14, 2007 I failed to say that the hooks are size 24 and 26. It's a wonder I can put them in my vise. I don't know if he has line small enough to fit throught the eye of the hook. The knot is going to be bigger than the fly. That should get me a dinner out don't you think? (taking a break from tying right now) A group of trout is called a hover
fly2fish Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 I don't think he can tie them on his line, last night I think Leonard was tying Old Stumblers flys on.
Members Old Stumbler Posted August 14, 2007 Members Posted August 14, 2007 Now, now boys, remember what happens at Taney stays at Taney!!!!!!! I just thought I would have another tool in the bag and those little hooks don't weight much. Sometimes little means better and small is better than nothing at all in many ways of life. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate those "toe stumblin" rocks!!!
Terry Beeson Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Hey Stumbler... have you convinced her those size 24 hooks are an inch long yet? duckydoty Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 It's not how small the hook is---It's how you use the hook that's important. duckydoty A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
