My son in law in Denver has the premium X-Box. Listening him tell me what all it does and will do makes my head spin... and I thought I was "up" on most things. But this thing DOES alot including manage movies, which you can download, games of course, TV and more. Probably keep your check book balanced.

I'm not a gamer... I played the old video games along time ago but can't justify the time, nor can I play these new games. He has guitar hero which I did poorly at AND the new Tiger Woods PGA. Josh beat me bad- but I challenged him to get out oon a REAL course and he declined. I shot an 87 playing with Greg on Monday (only 2nd time out this year- not bad).

Anyhow- anyone else own one of these?

We got the PS3 last Christmas. I have it on our wireless network. Can download games, surf the net, or play blu ray movies in 1080i, whatever that means. Step daughter loves it, most games too complicated to keep me interested, would like to try Madden NFL though, just got to save the 60 bucks to buy, lol.

I ownder the original XBOX and when the XBOX 360 I saved up for it too. Wouldn't have a Sony PS in my house. Kind of a Ford or Chevy thing I guess. They all play movies, download games, demos, more movies, so on so forth. I have lots of friends and co-workers that play XBOX so it is a sense of community and allows us another way to socialize after work by playing games with each other. I don't own an HDTV but I have seen both the PS3 and XBOX on HD and it *is* amazing. It's all come so far since Atari/Colecovision.

BTW, no system (pc, ps3, xbox) has yet to produce a fun hunting or fishing game.

And for my $$ the Halo franchise is where it's at. Keep's me busy for hours on end....until my taxidermy supplies come in and I start learning that. :)

I spent my hard-earned money on the Nintendo Wii.

The graphics aren't nearly as good as the XBox 360 or PS3, but only the hard-core gamers really notice that much difference.

I like the controllers - if I want to swing a sword in the game, I swing my controller. To shoot a gun, I point the controller at the screen and squeeze the trigger. Baseball... you swing a bat. Not only is the entire system (not to mention individual games) cheaper than the competition, but I think they're boat-loads more fun.

About the only other game I play is FlySim on the computer. Its a fun little fly-fishing game that can get me on the water during those boring meetings...

I've also got flysim. As far as the Wii...the Wife really wants one. Something about a ftiness game...I just want it for everything else. We were saving those coke points from the soda lids and cases to get one from Coke. Only needed 6,250 points and you have your very own Wii. Well, we're sittin at 2900 points and they took the wii off last week. Also sold out of the little pleuger fly rod combo and little ugly stick ultralight. At least I can always put in for the wireless stereo headphones to hook into the XBOX and rock my guitar hero.

p.s. Fishing the white this week at bull shoals...tues-fri rain or shine.
