Pre-Paid Legal Services

Afternoon everyone,

I just got "the pitch" from a rep from Pre-Paid Legal Services and I am unsure of the validity of the product / consumer usefulness / company reputation.

Anyone out there know anything, heard anything, have an opinion about this company and/or their services?

I thought I would throw this out here as I know that any response would be an honest down-to-earth response!

I used them to get my LLC in Alaska- saved me about $1000. Am working on our will which they will handle too.

We have something similar as a benefit at work. A co-worker thought she was all set for a divorce then got an email that said she was only covered for the seperation and it was going to cost an additional $1500. Needless to say, the divorce is on hold again. I guess, as with everything, you have to read the fine print and be specific w/ what you're selling or you'll have some unhappy clients.

I think it has something to do w/ Metlife, but I'm not sure. I've never really looked into it. Luckily, I haven't needed it yet.
