Members peekaboo81 Posted August 30, 2007 Members Posted August 30, 2007 Hello everyone, We will be heading down to Lilleys’ Landing with some friends and family in the middle of September. I was curious how the fishing has been lately and if anyone had any tips or trick to help us catch some trout. Last year we stayed and ended up catching so many off the dock we didn’t even rent a boat as we had planned to on our way down. I am unable to get in a boat anyway being in a wheelchair so it worked out great for me and my family. Any help or advice you could share would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Ryan
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted August 30, 2007 Root Admin Posted August 30, 2007 Conditions- hard to say this far out but you may expect some generation part of the day. Fishing off the dock using bait- what to use and how to use it really doesn't change much from year to year. The usual night crawlers, powerbait or other trout baits will work if the trout are in the area of the dock. They've been stocking this area pretty regularly so there's a pretty good chance there will be fish... but you never know- that's fishing. Water will be clear so 2 or 4 lb line is a must. You should do well.
