am4mu Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 I am going to Taney and will be based out of Lilley's the first week of October. Will be fly fishing for trout below the dam several days. My question is though, I will be renting one of Phil's bassboats for several days. Does anyone have any tips on what to do for bass, crappie and other panfish down lake. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks, Doug Doug Kiefer Independence, Mo h: am4mu@comcast.net w: dougk@schulzetool.com
brownieman Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Saw someone else say it on here and I agree. They said their grandpa said it and so did mine, 'A big old glob of worms'...if you want to just catch some fish most any species will bite a live worm, big glob of them or a little piece...never met a fish that didn't like a worm. bm My friends say I'm a douche bag ?? Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted September 2, 2007 Root Admin Posted September 2, 2007 I'd fish in Bull Creek and downstream. I always have done well using plastic worms. There's been some crappie caught up in Bull from the island upstream on small jigs and small plastic lures, I've heard. Topwater for bass should be pretty good too.
