Members Jeff P Posted June 17 Members Posted June 17 Good afternoon - new to the lake - got here in February (sorry, I'm part of the traffic problem) and didn't really get to fish much until May. Been doing OK on smallmouths before it warmed up, haven't found them again yet....but I've moved on to trying to catch some walleyes. Any tips / tricks / suggestions for a new guy? jeff
AR Huzgr Posted June 19 Posted June 19 I've not seen them show up, in numbers on main lake points yet, but I expect them to be soon. When they do, i find them in the 25-35 ft range on long run-out points. I usually locate by using bottom bouncers with crawler spinning rig. Once I locate, you can switch to jig fishing, plastics, or jigging raps, or even war eagle spoons. If you're out real early or late day, you can also get them on top of points and flats. They've been hard to pattern this year and I've caught more up in the trees in Creek arms. Quillback 1
