Don Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 I shouldn't even be at work today. It should be a national holiday. It doesn't even matter which team wins tonight, my adrenaline will be up for it. I'll miss my Chiefs opening game because I'll be fishing. Not everything can be a priority at the same time. Don Don May I caught you a delicious bass.

MrsDucky Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 Well, at least he's cheering for the home team. If you're from California! (I'm talking to both Web and Mr. Ducky! ) Go CHIEFS!!!!!!!! I can bring home the trout...fry it up in a pan...and never let you forget I caught it! 'Cause I'm a woman!
Don Posted September 8, 2007 Author Posted September 8, 2007 Amen MrsDucky. I bleed Chiefs red myself. I was surprised by the opening game. The first half was good but the second was too much. Poor corner play by Jason David....or can Payton Manning do that to just about any CB? I'm also big on fantasy football. This is my 9th year in my main league. I joined an extra league this year to help a friend field some teams. Chiefs revamped their D this year but after losing two of the best O limemen in the NFL, they have not shored up that aspect of the game. That could mean a tougher year for Larry Johnson. Don Don May I caught you a delicious bass.
Fishmeister Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 I was disappointed in the Thursday night game. Thought it would be closer, I guess the first half was. Indy had a defensive scheme to take away the long ball from the Saints and they mever got Deuce/Reggie going. May be a tough year for the chiefs and LJ, I hope not because I am a fan also, but they have alot of question ?'s on both sides of the ball. Raining here good day to stay in and watch some college games, hopefully chiefs can beat the Texans Sunday!!!!
davekeim Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Go Chiefs! No Q's for me. They look great. Herm always molds a team! LJ will play more than a few snaps Sunday. Better aChief fan than a Denver fan! Signed, Cardiac Oh yeah, Dave Keim SSN to follow! Abdito! Another Beautiful Day In The Ozarks
WebFreeman Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Don, I think Manning could do that to just about anyone. He is so good at recognizing a defensive alignment and then exploiting it. I'm in a couple fanatasy leagues myself. Just random ones on ESPN.com. I joined 2 last season (my first) and won both by dumb luck. The way drafts went this season, I'm not sure I'm going to be so lucky.
