Members lunker
I am new to this forum. what a great resource! when I was a kid, we always fished between the 10mm and rockaway beach and always caught fish. I am curious if anyone fishes the lower end of the lake below branson with much success.
Members Cheese slinger
I've stayed down lake a few times for impromptu summer trips, and always caught fish using just bait on drift rigs, power eggs, cheese (love the stuff, hence my name), nightcrawlers injected w/ air, minnows injected w/ air in the tail only, have all produced for me. I tend to lean more toward the power eggs only because they stay on the hook well and all the other stuff you have to constantly rebait. Never fished an artificial lower than the 2nd bridge, but I'd guess a small crankbait or little cleo spoon would eventually get something to grab it. rainbow
When we fish down below Branson we use a lot of little cleos in different colors with success. Bait always works.
Members roundtrout
This information is a little dated, but we (my grand-dad and I) caught a 40 lb Blue Catfish while running our trotline anchored just off the park upstream of Powersite Dam. Of course, that was about 26 years ago or so on a Sunday morning before church. As you may imagine, my grandmother was less than pleased as we were already dressed for church but we couldn't wait to run the line. Bob
