Fishing Report Saturday Night

Not sure why this did not post the other day but here it is again.

After helping my wife get the garage sale cleaned up and taking her and the girls out to dinner. We went fishing, we did not get down there until 11:30 and fished until 5am.

We saw and talked to Don what a great and funny man man. Russ met up with us and headed up to the cable to start. Duane started out pretty good catching fish right off the start, so did Matt and Jeremy. Not so good of a start for me I think it took me about one hour to get hit then about 10 more minutes to catch my first fish.

I asked Duane how many he had and he said 9, you sure are kicking my butt tonight I said. I decided it was time for the secret weapon an Olive Slump Buster and a White Mylar Zonker tied about 24 inches apart. I stated picking up fish and playing catch up. By the end of the night we had worked our way down to the point. I was starting to get wore out and could barely keep my eyes open as I was stripping and catching a few. I did catch a few on a Mohair Leech down at the point Electric Blue was the color.

When we got back down to the truck after inspecting the the new ladder which they had water coming through and it even had a few fish in it, we told how many each of us caught. I came in at 18, Duane came in at 19, and Matt came in at 22 (way to go for his second time of night fishing the right way) LOL. Not for sure how many Jeremy and Russ caught because they left early.

Keep you posted who do you think I am and oh two peas in a pod we have decided that there is no room for a threesom.(LOL)

We leave on the 21 and come back on the 30. Are you still comming back that Monday I have made hotel reservations and got you a badge for the clave. There is a drift boat seminar by Ken Richards let me know, You probally have enough practice by now though, if you want to be in on it 50 Bucks. We will be fishing every night That is Thursday Friday and Saturday after the auction.
