Members breeves2245 Posted October 4 Members Posted October 4 Really enjoyed my fishing trip to Indian Creek this past Spring. Caught 10 or so SM and the area was not crowded and looked like a postcard. But.... I don't like driving in the dark on winding roads so much to get there at dawn. Question - I'm programmed to launch at first light, hard to break that habit and fish with any confidence. Does Indian Creek in general fish as well mid morning to mid day or early pm vs the first couple of hours at first light? I would be mainly throwing the usual, ned, swimbait, etc.
Quillback Posted October 4 Posted October 4 I am an early morning fisherman, one reason is I like to get through Pea Ridge before the morning rush hour and the school traffic gets going. It can create a half mile backup at the 4 way stop in the old part of Pea Ridge. There is a bit of a top water striper bite early and some bass also. I would think you could get some later in the day. Overall this is a tough time of year to fish the lower lake, I never do any good until about mid-November. But you can still catch fish, so what the heck, might as well get out and go.
