Members il_smallie_man Posted October 3, 2007 Members Posted October 3, 2007 Hey everybody, new here! Curious as to getting some advice for the smally fishing in the next week or two. I'm planning on fishing from cane bluff on down for a couple days. I know it's shallow up there, but guessing that there are some nice fish to be had. Will be fly fishing mostly. I understand that crawfish patterns are it. Buggers? Clousers? Poppers? any dry flies, or just crawfish? Can't wait to get on the river-it's been a few years since I've been around there. Thanks in advance. I am haunted by waters

Flysmallie Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 This is all you need!!! Well maybe some of that other stuff too, but this worm works. Been having some luck with a black and gold color too. You will know when they hit it. They can be tied/fished unweighted like a soft jerkbait, unweighted with a split shot on the leader (think carolina rig) or weighted and drug along the bottom.
Members il_smallie_man Posted October 3, 2007 Author Members Posted October 3, 2007 wow! I think even I can tie that. thanks for the input. I will be trying it this weekend. I am haunted by waters
superfly Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Ronnie, What is the recipe for the worm? Thanks, Matt
