I've got a few pictures of fish that have been caught over the last week. Some of them by people that have been fishing with me, some by me and some by people that were just fishing down there and I saw them catch a nice fish. All the fish were released unharmed, even the one with a stringer hanging out of it's mouth. That was my brother's 1st big fish and he was thinking about keeping it. I told him to take the stinger out of it's mouth because it looked "stupid" in the pictures. He agreed and I took more photo's with his camera. Then I told him to go ahead and get measurements of the fish and so he did. I then said well, now you've got the measurements and photos, there is really no reason to keep the fish. He agreed and let it go. I told my brother he made me very proud for releasing that fish and in the end I think he felt very good about it too.

I haven't caught a trout since Labor Day, and July 4th before that, and have no trips in sight. This isn't helping with the addiction, but I guess it'll have to do.

Nice fish,

Rob

GREAT bunch of pictures!!!! Nice fish!!! The only thing that bothers me is the graber or pliers that the one fish is being held with. Big trout aren't made to be picked up like that. Sorry but true!

Great pictures and thanks for releasing the fish so we can have a chance of cathing them too.

Those hogs remind me of my pasts trips to Western New York during this time of the year.

It is a Boga Grip and it less harmful to the fish than you may think. As long as you support the fish as the young man is doing. It is so that you may hold the fish and not continue to drop the fish on the ground while getting a pic, like I see so many people do. Which in turn is more harmful it is like you diving off of a building and hitting the ground being picked up and doing it all over again.

I guess we could be like they are in British Columbia and some places in Alaska where if you lift the fish out of the water it is considered to be in your aggregate. I have seen and heard where the warden will actually check your film and write a ticket to you off the film.

I would like to know if it is so bad for fish why several shops including fly shops in the local area would carry such items, and why they promote this item on the Outdoor and Versus channel. I would also like to see some documentation where the fish is hurt as long as you are supporting the fish as this young man is doing.

Duckdoty great pics and those are some pig's.

"Big trout aren't meant to be picked up like that" Well that was nice but you for got to inform how they are meant to be handled. If you know I would also like to know so when I do catch one I could do it the proper way so not to injure the fish. Thanks in advance for what im sure will help all if you respond.
