Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 1, 2006 Root Admin Posted February 1, 2006 Took these at the end of the day, end of the month, and end of the bird season. We didn't even have our guns loaded- just sat and watched the colors change and listen to the pheasants cackle. http://forums.ozarkanglers.com/images/2006/sunset/sunset2-wp.jpg http://forums.ozarkanglers.com/images/2006/sunset/big-sunset-1800.jpg http://forums.ozarkanglers.com/images/2006/sunset/sunset1-wp.jpg http://forums.ozarkanglers.com/images/2006/sunset/sunset3-wp.jpg http://forums.ozarkanglers.com/images/2006/sunset/sunset5-1800.jpg http://forums.ozarkanglers.com/images/2006/sunset/sunset4-wp.jpg http://forums.ozarkanglers.com/images/2006/sunset/sunset6-1500.jpg

Members DarthVMAX Posted February 21, 2006 Members Posted February 21, 2006 GORGEOUS! Thats one thing about Kansas, they have some of the most vivid sunsets with the most colors I have ever seen. Its just something you don't see in hilly or mountainous terrain. I am surrounded by mountains where I am at currently and I miss the sunsets. When I scope for retirement property to buy in the Ozark or Quachitas that is one thing its gotta have, a great view of the western horizon.
CaptainT16 Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Yes, we do have some great sunsets in KS. One thing I missed while living in the hills of MO. Great pics by the way! "He told us about Christ's disciples being fisherman, and we were left to assume...that all great fishermen on the Sea of Galilee were fly fisherman and that John, the favorite, was a dry-fly fisherman." - Norman Maclean-A River Runs Through It
Members Oldschoolcane Posted February 23, 2006 Members Posted February 23, 2006 Great photos Phil, about the same colors as the roosters! Tim

Members diamond dave Posted February 23, 2006 Members Posted February 23, 2006 Nice pix, I drive thru Kansas every year to go skiing in Colorado and I always say its so ugly and boring, but it sure does produce some nice sunsets.
