Trout Water Landing Percentage

I've found that as I've begun experimenting (smaller tippet, hooks, etc) the percentage of fish that I land has taken a bit of a drop. I land as many fish, but lose more.

What is your percentage? (long-range releases don't count!)

I fished all weekend with #22 barbless soft hackles & midges and dropped to a 7X tippet. I did have more hookups, but also lost more fish.

I did not realize the flies I tied were on barbless hooks, so I gave them a try...easier to release when you land one

My percentage is probably less than 50%, but I still have a good time on the water
