motroutbum Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 With Simms, you are not just paying for the name. Their waders are by far the best in the industry. They are made in the USA, they have a lifetime warranty on the seams and manufacturer's defects. THe L2s are goretex so the material is alot better quality and will last longer. the goretex is also a more durable material. Their customer service is also very good. There are two types of people. Those who dream dreams and wish, then there are the do'ers. I am a do'er!
Brian Sloss Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Granted I am hard on stuff, as it gets used more than most peoples, but I have have never had a pair of waders last more than a year to a year and a half. Within that time I am always getting wet. I have used the cheapest waders to $300 waders in brand names like Orvis or Simms. Now I just buy the cheapest breathable wader I can find, because they will all leak on me in about a year. That is my 2 cents. www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
rcguy Posted November 29, 2007 Author Posted November 29, 2007 I got the Simms L2's and took them fishing. I love 'em. Sooo lightweight and comfortable. No leaking and with Polertec pants underneath they were warm.
