Members RGV Posted November 22, 2007 Members Posted November 22, 2007 Got on the water around 2:30 at Rebar, no generation, fished till dark with good results on black zebra midge #20 on 6x tippet. Also did well on sowbug scuds #14 also on 6x. Returned to Lilleys for a big bowl of beef stew and a some tying for the next day. Back on the water around 10:00 below the MDC ramp hooked up right off on #14 sowbug scud, other buddy tied on a #20 prizim midge and had great luck landing some nice wide 16" to 18" bow's. Also fished down to the island and continued to hook up, also had good luck using #18 black zebra midge. Fished till around 4:30 all day no generation and were blessed with some great weather for November. Last and sadley our final, however might be a blessing as they were talking about the weather turning (something about winter). Went back below the MDC around 9:30 and waded down to the island with no generation, just a very brisk 15-25mph wind. Tied back on the scud, other partner tied on the black zebra. Little slow hooking smaller bow's until hooking into a 18" who by the way he fought had his wheaties that morning. Both did well switching back and forth from zebra's and scud's fished till around 1:30 when we had to leave and travel back to reality. In all a great trip and could not of had better accomdiations or weather for a November trip to Lilley's. Thanks and God Bless..
