Unfortunately, Anglers Helping Anglers has found another outdoorsman who needs help. Matthew "Blue" Shearer from Valley View, AR has been diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer, he has slid into a vegetative state and is not expected to survive. Matthew and his family do not have insurance and the prospect of a Merry Christmas for his wife and three kids is bleak. Please come out and fish this tournament to benefit Matthew's wife, ten year old son, two and eight year old daughters have as Merry a Christmas as possible. Sunday, December 16th, Table Rock, Ahoy's Ramp, $100 entry fee, $20 optional big bass, 70% payback, ENTER AT THE RAMP ONLY 5:30AM - 6:30AM the morning of the tournament. Sorry I didn't mention the format, it is a buddy tournament.

We don't have a site set up for the event, the entry form pdf is on 7/24 or e-mail me and I can send it to you.

As far as donations are concerned checks can be made out to either Mike Webb or Tom Hall (Matthew is Tom's brother in law, Tom is the Sales Manager at Davis Chevrolet in Berryville)and mail them to Mike at 4500 Sunrise, Ozark, MO 65721.

Please help us spread the word, these kid's don't have much to celebrate this Christmas and we would like to give their mom a big check so they can have something special under the tree.

Please keep Matthew's family in your prayers.

Here is a need that has been presented to the forum. I would like to challenge you to open your wallets- yes right now- and take out a $5 - $10 - $20 or even a $100 dollar bill and slip it in an envelope and mail it to Mike Webb to bless the Shearer family. In a month or a year- will you ever miss the money? No. But you will know that you've truely blessed a family in a tough time of their lives.

If you gave $20 to the Shearer family, would you miss the $20 after a week? A month? I doubt it. Some of you could give $100 and not miss it. Others only $10. The point is- this is an opportunity to bless someone that's really hurting this Christmas. It's a small thing really but it will warm their heart to know someone cares enough.

Thanks for all of your support of this event, unfortunately the weather has thrown us a curve ball and rather run the risk of anyone getting hurt we are going to reschedule the tournament. The new date will be January 27, 2008, everything else stays the same; out of Ahoy's, $100 + optional $20 big bass, 70% payback, 7 - 3, pay at the ramp...
