Members jchbaits Posted December 4, 2007 Members Posted December 4, 2007 I havent been to Grand yet but im planning to start going there soon if anyone has some advice on what to throw and where it would be greatly appreaciated. I hear it takes about 20 lbs to win a tourny there in the spring so i hope i can find enough info to catch the Big Uns. Have a great one JCHbaitco

wily Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 I mostly fish the mid-lake, from shangri-la/honey creek area to the elk river, but sometimes i'll go down by the dam...i never fish above elk river. i just don't feel comfortable up there. a spinnerbait in the very back of honey creek is great early in the year... jerk baits work good early around the terra miranda point. a small crank bait around the rip rap at shangri-la...shad rap is what i like. cast an eakins jig in front of, and around the boat docks. a friend of mine swears by wolf creek. really there isn't a wrong way to fish it...do what your comfortable with. it's a good lake.
