New To Fly Fishing - Need A Combo

So, I decided and the family bought me the TFO. I tried a few different ones including the Sage and I sucked at casting them all equally

I mean I was really bad... Oh well, I'm a quick learner... I'll pick it back up again.

I used a bit of the difference to buy a newer vice and some supplies and tied a few zebra midges... The pic below is the first.. Not too bad for the first fly in 21 years I think I need some better thread... the old stuff frays real easily.

Congratulations, and welcome to the club!

Word of warning (from experience). I received my first decent combo for Christmas. I was so excited about it that despite the snow and ice on the ground I put in a decent number of hours casting over the next week. The frozen lawn ended up stripping the coating off the line and I had to replace it before it even hit the water!
