Thom Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Know what you mean one shot. I was down at taney last week and had to fish nearly two days to catch a couple fish small enough to keep for lunch. One day the first six casts brought in 4 browns and one rainbow 16". I was finally able to catch 3 nice stockers under 12" by fishing directly in the chute with a small sowbug after the snaggers left. One guy there had a fish in the tail about every other on to hand. After they fought in the current all that time I wonder how many of them survived. Go figure...how is that fun? Thom Harvengt
troutchaser Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 I've heard about Barclay before, but I've never fished there. Heck, I don't even know where it is or how to get there. Could somebody fill me in? Paul Rone

troutchaser Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Thanks, oneshot. Is there a fee to fish there? Some of these areas will only allow paying guests to fish. Paul Rone

rcguy Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Barclay looks like nice spot. Does it get crowded?. I would think the summer would bring out the aluminum hatch.
Wayne SW/MO Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 bring out the aluminum hatch. Out is right, its where many take out, but it doesn't hurt the fishing that much. The fish from Bennett down are used to some activity, it just makes them a little more wary. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
