Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 24, 2007 Root Admin Posted December 24, 2007 Had this sent to me by Jerry Dudley, Fayetteville. It's his grandson, Colton. All I know it was caught on 12/22. Hoping for more details soon.
timsfly Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Yeh Phil, I saw the picture that day, it was caught in the first hole up by the hatchery, on a black/yellow jig, it was up towards the top of the pool, under a canopy of leaves, it sure is a nice fish, looks like 9lb or better. There are few in there like that right now, if we ever get some more rain and the spring rises, there will be a few more come out. Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 25, 2007 Author Root Admin Posted December 25, 2007 Jig... figures. Jerry Dudley is one, if not the best jig fishermen I know and he's a good teacher. They team up and fish one of my tournaments each winter and usually place.
Members JD Dudley Posted December 28, 2007 Members Posted December 28, 2007 I'm pretty sure that he's going to surpass all of us down here in Arkansas. He's already caught those of us in the family... he's pretty good at it and is now learning about those finicky Beaver Lake bass as well.
Kansas Fly Fisher Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 Hey JD! Glad to see ya on the forum. John Born to Fish, Forced to Work KSMEDIC.COM
Members JD Dudley Posted December 28, 2007 Members Posted December 28, 2007 Hello there John. Hope all is well up in Kansas and that you had a blessed Christmas. Fishing any of the tournaments at Phils this year? We'll be there for all of them except the Team Tournament in March (I won't be there, but I'm sure that dad will be).
