Fly tying

First off I would just like to say thanks to Jeremy and Lilley for putting such detailed post in the fly recipes. I have been tying for several years, but I am a long way from being a good fly tyer. I can tie just well enough to get by. The step by step instructions are very helpful. I have been trying to tie your examples. I am getting better and really enjoying it. I hope to get down to your class very soon. can you give me directions to Lilleys. I will be coming from Cassville. I have also been looking at other fly tying sites and found this one. It is not as detailed or informative but it isn't bad.

When you get into Branson, I assume you'll be on the strip (76) at some point. The easiest way to give directions is to turn south on Wildwood Dr next to the Grand Palace and go a mile till you come to a T in the road. That's Fall Creek Rd. Turn right and go about a mile. You'll see our sign- follow the signs to the lake.

Tuesdays at 7 pm. Usually lasts about 2 hours.

flytyingforum is the forum I patterned OAF after- at least the software program. They have alot of international people there- really big. What we want to do is concentrate on local flies for trout, bass- freshwater fish in our lakes and streams.

You will like it! I learned more in 2 hrs on Tuesday night then I knew about tying! And as Jeremy can attest my tying abilities are iffy at best.

I plan on being there as many Tuesday nights as possible. Of course I also plan on tying more during the week then I do now, which is almost none. Great class!

Glad you had a good time, I know it makes Phil and Jeremy happy when new faces show up and are egger to learn this very addicting sport. I know I have enjoyed class since I started and will keep up the attendance as long as I can. So pass on the word about the class so others like you can come and enjoy their Tuesday night.

I live in Mexico,Mo which is about a 4 to 5 hour drive from Branson so can't really come down for a class. However, I try to get down to Branson 2 or 3 times a year and the next time I'm down on a Tuesday I will try to catch a class.
