loo10 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Two years ago my son gave me a telescoping lure retriever from Bass Pro Shops. I extends out to 18'. It's paid for itself easily with lures retrieved. It's only about 20 bucks or so. If you REALLY have a good idea where it is.... it might be money well spent. OR....you could take me along. I love a good road trip! I'll bring the retriever!! loo10 P.S.- Know anybody with an Aqua-Vu? captmac Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Depending on the bottom a jigging spoon has worked for me a few times be sure to use a stout line To have a true friend is wonderful, to have a true friend who fishes with you....... priceless
roy_eros Posted January 17, 2008 Author Posted January 17, 2008 Thanks for all the good ideas..i should have been more specific..i was fishing on lake atkins which is in central arkansas and is pretty muddy so i dont think swimming or diving would have much luck. The story is we were fishing out of a small flatbottom and we flipped it when my friend lost his balance. We lost 6 rods and reels and all our takcle. We managed to get back all the rods except for the one i mentioned above(and this was the first time i had ever fished with it. And i found all the tackle but one box. I may try to go back and try to drag a stringer and see what i come up with. Im pretty sure i cleared all the snags today when i was dragging this big metal hook on a rope.
