DOITLOOKIT Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 I was just out on my deck here in Springfield and the sights and sounds remind me of last year. I can see the blueish lights of the transformers and the booms of them blowing. Then I hear the crashing of tree limbs coming down. Still have power, but the lights are flickering every so often. Doesn't look good for the rest of the night.
Danoinark Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Just cold here. We didn't get the amount that you did North of the state line. Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
pvspmo Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Limbs crashing and lights flickering here in Rogersville right now. Hate that sound of trees breaking!!!
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 12, 2008 Root Admin Posted February 12, 2008 Periods of hard rain and then drizzle. I'm hoping the hard rain knocks off the ice out of the trees - it's starting to build up. No limbs on the ground.
flyfshn Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Just a 1/4" of snow/ice in STL, but just a few miles south they were hit hard with snow/ice Fish On! Danoinark Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Rusty called earlier today. He is in Miami Ok, and he said they were having some ice issues. I haven't seen him post yet, so I hope all is well over that way. Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 12, 2008 Root Admin Posted February 12, 2008 Lots of rain which is great for the lakes. But more ice on the trees. We'll see what it looks like in the morning. Might have to get the chains saws out.
Trav Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 I have 1/4 inch of ice everywhere. The cedars are all leaning over and my vehicles look like giant popcicles. Took my chainsaw to the tool hospital on thursday, Hope I dont need it. "May success follow your every cast." - Trav P. Johnson
Don Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 I haven't been able to get out of my driveway the last 2 days. I even spread about 40 lbs of rock salt yesterday. Power flickered a half dozen times yesterday. I definately have spring fever. Don Don May I caught you a delicious bass.
Rusty Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 All is well here, Dan. The temperature got warm enough yesterday afternoon to keep us out of trouble.
