jdmidwest Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Looks like we caught the brunt of the storm this time. Sitting in front of the fireplace listening to Raymond on the crank radio squandering my battery on the laptop. We have been w/o elect since 12 am last night and not expecting any for a while. Most of Jackson and Cape Girardeau is w/o. I live in the country so we will be last. W/o phone line this morning, still have water. Freezing rain started it all, followed by 3 inches of sleet. Then thunderstorms last night dumped another 3/4 in of ice that screwed it all up. Whats Spring River look like for this weekend??? I need to go floating. Danoinark Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Hunker down JD, hopefully you will get some relief soon. Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
jdmidwest Posted February 13, 2008 Author Posted February 13, 2008 We are bunkered up pretty good here, neighbors are like sheep running around like chickens with heads cut off. If I run out of firewood I'll have to start cutting up downed trees. How is everyplace else? Local new just said that it was frosty and icy at noon. Not much news past locally. Trav Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Frosty lawns and popsicle vehicles here as well. Havnt ventured off property but hear traffic is moving right along. "May success follow your every cast." - Trav P. Johnson
