jay bird
Fished below zinc dam today and did fairly good. Had about 30-40 fish, but nothing really big. Did see one guy bring in about a 5-6 pound striper/hybrid, but that was about it. Had a lot of fun and a lot of wind. There was about ten guys down at the deep run below the power company and I only fished there for about 20 minutes, but that is where I seen the nicer fish landed. The carp you hook up with down there really make you think you have something nice, but they are still fun to fight. I had about 7-10 over 5 pounds with one big one that snapped me off. At least I hope it was a carp. I also had one sauger about 19 inches that put up a really good fight. When the water is off this is a really great place for plenty of winter action. Also good for a work-out for both your casting and stripping arm as the season starts to get here. Good Luck

It looked like opening day at Roaring River down there below PSO! I started out in the run next to PSO, caught a few nice hybrids there and then went up below the dam. Caught some more hybrids and whites, 1 small striper, 1 sucker, and the biggest shad that I have ever seen. I got tired of the wind and went in early. jay bird
Steve , there was a lot of guys down there. I talked to one guy (who was pulling about 30 fish behind him) and he said that is the most people he has ever seen down there. Is that the most you have ever seen? Micheal Kyle
I figured that there would be alot people down there after last weekend. I had to stay home and finish the house for the new baby, that will be here next week. My wife is very happy that the house is done. I hope that everyone had a good time fishing and that they caught some big fish. The last time that I went down there I used my 8wt. When the big fish come up I plan on taking my 10wt.
