Also, tell him you need left handed line as well...

I actually brought it in today and he got it switched for me, It's actually a lot easier to do than the directions make you believe. all you have to do is take off the spool, unscrew the center cylinder and then flip th bearing thing thats inside the cylinder over.

I bought a new 1.5 for my TFO 3wt and loved it. Then one day I was in Cabela's bargain cave and to my surprise was a 2.0 loaded with GPX for $99! How could i pass that up? the line weight wasnt labeled, but if it wasnt a 5wt then i had a new excuse to get a 6 wt. I like them both and havent let me down yet, and everyone I talked to hasnt had a bad thing to say about them.

i recieved a lamson konic 5-6 wieght reel as a gift for my bday from my girlfriend........i think its great i love it...very smooth all around

I'm sure that most of the shops in southwest Missouri have the larger sizes of this reel, so just a heads up for the Knasas City guys. I was in Rainbow Fly shop here in Independence yesterday morning and Matt has all of the sizes of ths reel. I have one for my three weight and love it.

I know this thread has been dead for a while but right now it is really easy to find a Lamson Velocity for around 50% off or $130. Lamson has replaced the Velocity for their 2009 model year and there are some real good deals out there.
