Spin & Fly ~ Lake Taneycomo, August 13, 2016

Duane and I went back out at 6, boated to Lookout and tried the same eddies I'd found trout rising in earlier in the day - they weren't there.  Crazy.  Same generation but no holding rainbows.  So we boated to the dam and threw jigs.  Duane did pretty good but I stunk.  Throwing 1/16th oz dark jigs like sculpin and brown with an orange head.  They didn't like them to shallow - let them sink 4-5 feet.  2-pound like of course.  Caught nothing over 15 inches.  One pretty brown.

With the cooler weather there's not much fog - which is nice.  Didn't have to run back down early to beat the fog.

Kris Nelson had a friend out fishing yesterday, fishing jigs from Big Hole down to the ramp and they did real good on sculpin 1/8th ounce jig, orange head.  One rainbow at 20 inches and another brown on that was bigger they didn't get to the net.  Kris is one of our guides.
