So when i first started tieing....11-12 years ago, about the only major foam fly was a beetle, and two kinds of ants. Now everything is foam. Hmm...bummer. i recently have been getting back into my tieing habits and as much as i didnt want to make the change to foam, cause it used to be a pain to work with, i am giving it a shot. mostly because hopper patterns come out amazing in foam. i found this pattern, well picture of it, on Flickr and saved it, it looked good. tonight after hitting up the hobby store i came back with all sorts of foam, and this was the result.

WOW. Great photographs, congratulations. Very sharp and on a clean neutral background that accents the flies.

What type camera were you using?
