  1. Gas is as cheap as you want to make it. I am going to go out and do a drive off in Ducky's neighborhood. Should save me enough to grill ribeye's this weekend. I am going to tell you what I look like so it will make it easy on you to find me. I am man hear me roar. I drive a Dodge with a Hemi. I have long strawberry flowing colored hair and a beard and usaully wear a OAF cap. Catch me if you can?
  2. Finally...Thanks techo
  3. This should give a good idea who the laws are really written for. I would be curious to know if the DA/City Judge for that city/county is the one who asked for this dollar amount, or if it was the local law enforcement. Are the defendants attorney's in that county better than the prosecuters? I called someone who could give a answer regarding out towns policy and they said it didn't matter if it was .01 they stole. They would do a report no matter how small. How many have inadvertently driven off after getting fuel and not pay for it? I have a couple of times. Both times, luckily, it was at stores I do business with a lot. I remembered at one and turned around, the other one I had a message on the answering machine when I got home. It's a good thing to be friends with the people that work at stores. It can sure save you a headache in the long run.
  4. You have to remember too, the police officer does not write the policies, laws and such. They enforce what they are told. If they are sitting at IHOP, then the town/county laws are to lax. Just my opinion though. What would happen if someone drove off with the same dollar amount in pop, beer, candy and other stuff that could be purchased in the stores?
  5. Yep, if it's store policy to prepay, then I agree she should pay. A life's learning experience, and really, a cheap one at that. I wish that my mistakes would be that cheap.
  6. Would she have to pay if the store was robbed? This sounds like something a TV station would like to get ahold of.
  7. Please say a quick prayer for my brother. Family issues are taking place as I type this, and he sure could use them. Please include his two children too. Thank you.
  8. I did that once, layed down the law that is. Come to think of it, it was only once. And if my memory serves me right, that was the hardest carpeted floor I had ever slept on. That was the longest two day vacation ever.
  9. All I was thinking was, I need a Zantac.
  10. You need a IPod my friend. Not for them, for you.
  11. That's not what they drink up there?
  12. "Oh yea- before you pack up the kids and head up for the cheap prices... our gas here is over $5, milk is $7.89 a gallon and pop is $2 a can. Double bacon cheese burger and fries- $17.50 at the local pub." Milk 7.89 a gallon? With all the whales running loose up their, you would think it would be cheaper.
  13. This is the second post I have read about this hatch. I have not had a chance to fish this hatch, so my curiosity is peaked. I would like to here more specifics, please.
  14. Thats what I thought Ken, I just wanted to point that out though.
  15. Just so everyone is clear on this. I am not looking for any free supplies. My only reason for this is to find out if this material is as great as the market is claiming. I have turned down many many freebies, only to have an issue corrected. If they want to send it after I have said no thanks, then thats their prerogative.
  16. Ok, Guess what just happened? I was about to put the tippet in a envelope and send it off, I thought I would pull off a couple of feet of each an try it again. First pull on the 7x, I pulled off 11". Oh no, what the heck are they going to do with such a short piece of tippet. First pull of the 6X and guess what, all that was left was 13". I feel like such a bonehead. I wonder if they can test such short pieces?
  17. I may be more qualified to answer the teenage question, Webfreeman. RUN LIKE H E Double L, and don't give them your new address. It's really not that bad. The doctor said I should be able to go off the medication when they turn 20.
  18. I took my three daughters and a niece camping last year. Ages were 5-15. All I have to say is...I was absolutely nuts for doing it. Every punk kid within 2 miles was hanging around the camp. Three were even kicked out of the campground for trying to catch a peak after the kids went to bed. They had no idea how close they came to having lead in them. After all that happened, I am going to ask them if they want to go again. Yes, I am nuts. But, with all that happened, they still talk about how much fun they had. I might try a overnight float trip this time.
  19. I received a callback today from the company in question and they are wanting me to return the product for testing purposes. He did ask about where it was stored. Which lends me to believe that a controlled environment is where it needs to be stored. He didn't confirm nor deny when I asked about where I had been storing it for the past six weeks, if that may have been an issue. He is supposed to keep me posted about the testing.
  20. This just blows my mind. Imagine your neighbor dumping toxic waste in their yard, but their yard runs down hill into your yard. You talk several times, years, with your neighbor about your yard not having grass. But, you and your neighbor live in different housing associations, with different rules. You decide to sue your neighbor because of the toxic waste that is now producing one eyed children. After years of legal paper work and many more one eyed children running around the neighborhood, your neighbor says it's all your fault nothing is being accomplished because you are suing them. Maybe if ADEQ would have been doing their job to begin with, this lawsuit would not have happened. Just a thought. I do know one thing, the EPA is taking soil samples, under the water, from all water tributaries coming into Oklahoma. I talked with an EPA agent a month ago, and he said they are getting data for future lawsuits that will take place. Here is the link that started my rant: http://www.joplinglobe.com/local/local_story_141104208.html
  21. Aren't the rivers for everyone to enjoy, legally?
  22. Michael, I think we are on the same page, but differ about putting the name of the product out in cyber space. I tend to agree that everything breaks down. Just how fast, it depends on what it is, the elements it is exposed to, and so on. My concern is, if companies are advertising this product as lasting forever, stronger and smaller in diameter, but you have to replace it every other year, is it worth the $13.00 and some change for 25 meters, expecially if you only fish a few times a year. I am sitting here looking at $70.00 worth of product that is useless. Remind the next time I am in your shop and I will try the Rio. This is one I haven't tried.
  23. Sorry to here about your friends unfortunate accident. Sounds as those he is ready to move forward. Great for him. I do not know of anything that is on the market for such situations, but you might try velcro to secure the rod handle to his wrist. Make sure the rod handle is long enough to accommodate this. What about the braces they use when you break your fingers to keep them from bending. You can bend them for use. If he has motion to move his arms, can he maybe cast a fly rod? This might be to soon, but would be a great exercise for mobility. Sorry I wasn't able to be more helpful, but I hope this helps.
  24. Huh?
  25. I don't doubt that there is only one manufacture of fluorocarbon. Posting the name of the brand of line can only help a consumer make a informed decision. Expecially if they won't take the time to talk with a customer, that is having an issue with their product.
