Oh no, not that day...never mind, wrong day.

One time at band camp, oh wait, wrong place. I was getting prepped for my knee surgery and the surgeon that was performing the operation came in and said "so, what are we doing to you today"? My reply was, Iam having my appendix removed. Boy that didn't go ever. He got really, really PO'd, and said "it's crap like that, that gets doctors in trouble. Geez I said, can I get another doctor. Next thing I know, I am counting from 100 to 99.

Severe doesn't even come close. That is a disaster. I did notice on maybe a couple of the docks, it looked as though the supports poles holding the roofs up were made of 1" square tubing. That did not look right. Could be wrong.

The same thing happened to me the other day while I was at the doctors office, he told me to go home and soak it. So I did.

Now thats funny. I can remember when I first moved in my house, 20 years ago, we had a ice storm. The next morning I went outside and found two squirrels dead as door nail. Couldn't figure it out. It now sheds light on it.

My wife just a call, no school again tomorrow. This will be the fourth day.

Terry, I was the same way. I too fished bass tournaments, got really, really burned out. I guess if I had been winning more money at it, It would have turned out different, it didn't. So I put the poles up for 8-10 years. The next rod I picked up was a fly rod, at my wifes and brothers suggestion. She said I needed a hobby. I think she just wanted me out of her hair. I can't blame her, I get tired of myself sometimes. Anywho, I fish for the pleasure of it. If I am catching a lot of fish, that is a bonus. If I catch a "grip-n-grin", which has yet to happen, that would be a blast too. If I drive two hours to fish the Taney tailwater and catch zipo, then I know of a great BBQ place up the hill that will feed me and serve me a great rootbeer soda drink. So the trip is not a waste for me.

It is getting close. 8800 to go.

I will step on some toes here, but with some respect. "Elitist" comes to mind. Not everyone lives on a river, stream or tailwater, so the time spent while fishing should be spent fishing however the person wants. If its numbers then let it be, if its trophy fish, then let that be. If its about just getting out on the water, then let that be. Just don't walk through the lane I am fishing. Those are idiots in my book, not elitist. Oh my, did I write that? Very well written article might I add, too.
