  1. There are only two animals that I know of that make a lot of noise in the woods...A dog and a armadillo. An aramadillo can sound like a D9 Caterpillar coming through the woods at night.
  2. My condolences and prayers for his family and friends. The last two times I have been to Taneycomo, the EMS have been called to assist with someone having a problem in the restriction zone. And I don't make it down that often. Is there by any chance a emergency use phone located in the parking lots? I have not looked.
  3. June 1st, 2007... Terry, Don't go toward the light. Stay away...
  4. Arkamo, Why say disregard, when you put it in print? It would be nice if you would at least read what I wrote: "I am talking about people that have few post on this forum. They think they can belittle someone for sharing information".
  5. Rusty

    Fizzing

Terry, I can't get there from here.
  6. I just wanted to say, thank you, to all the guides who post reports. As everyone knows, they do not have to do that on a open forum. I would also like to thank the people that do post reports here. It has helped me. Russ
  7. Terry, Stirring the pot like that...hahaha. It must be the moon phase.
  8. Terry, I will bring the fish, and tell you where I caught them.
  9. Wayne, I do understand that point. I am talking about people that have few post on this forum. They think they can belittle someone for sharing information. I think it is funny, to the point, that there needs to be a Secret section to this forum. And only the selected few can share information. You know, kind of like a clickish club.
  10. He could be posting just to be informing, unlike some, who lurk just to gain information. I thought that was what this type of forum was for. Just my opinion though.
  11. This van is in very good mechanical condition. I have owned it for the past five years and maintained it very well. $1850.00
  12. Anyone from NE Oklahoma, SE Kansas, or SW Missouri going to the Conclave Friday? I want to go, but would like to split the fuel cost. Also need to come back Friday night. My sons birthday is Saturday.
  13. Fish Bork, Not trying to prove you wrong, I am just lost on where the Spring River crosses Hwy 60, other than Hwy 60 at Twin Bridges State Park near Wyandotte, Ok. I looked on Google, and followed it up North to Barton Co. in Missouri, but lost it there. Does if come back South that far?
  14. I think this needed to be posted on the Spring River Missouri/Arkansas, Mammoth Springs section. A few topics up the board.
  15. I might be coming down Friday morning. I won't know until Thursday, if I will be able to make it. Dang work, it's always getting in the way of fun.
  16. Just a note to inform some that I was able to try two of the dorbeR rods out. The Ultra Weave 9ft 5wt and the 9ft 4wt DReach. The Ultra Weave was a slow rod, not to my liking. I can not, for the life of me, cast a slow rod. It would serve those that can, very well. The DReach, which is a fast rod, was more to my liking. If you have a chance to cast either one of these, I would highly recommend it. Or as far as that goes, any of their rods. You will not be disappointed. The DReach is on its way to a new home. Jeff, it was a pleasure doing business with you. Thanks again.
  17. Fishing was good. I fished for maybe, four hours, and spent the rest of the time with family and friends. I caught fish on a #18 Griffin's Gnat, and a #10 green Wooly Bugger. The bigger fish were caught on the bugger, stripping it as fast as I could with one hand.
  18. We had a great time. Caught fish, trail hiked, ate very well, and stayed dry. At 5:30 AM Sunday, we awoke to lighting and thunder. My wife and I pulled all the kids out of the tent in a sleepy state of mind. I literally broke camp and stuffed all the supplies in the Suburban and Van in less than 30 minutes. I even surprised myself. We ran into rain two miles North of Cassville. Was I in a good mood...no. But hey, we were dry, and didn't have to dry out the tent after getting home. The good news of this story is, I think I finally convinced my wife we need a travel trailer. She wasn't too happy with the way things were packed, or crammed, which ever way you look at it. By the way, did I say we had a great time.
  19. Thanks for the replies. See you at the waters edge...
  20. Do you have the court documents that states this, or was it a newspaper article? Either way, could you post the link?
  21. Going to be camping (tent) at RR Park this weekend and I need a backup plan. I am taking the family and we might need a secondary plan if it starts raining Saturday night. I have already called Roaring River Resort, and they are booked. I tried calling another place I used to stay, but that line has been disconnected. Can anyone help me out?
  22. Anybody wearing these boots? And willing to give a review...fit, comfort, durability?
  23. Now, that is what I am talking about. Sharing in the passion of a hobby, sport or whatever else that it may be. Thanks Leonard...you the man.
  24. I really do appreciate all the replys to this topic. If I just would have used some common sense on this it would have been easy. Thanks again.
  25. SSSSHHHH Snagged, be vewy, vewy quite. We're going bass hunt'n. LOL...Come on people, it's not like there is only one fish in the lake. Now space might be a little different. But have you looked at the Branson area lately. It is a little crowded. The next thing you know, the only fishing comments that will be posted are, you need a boat, and a pole. Now that is going to narrow it down. I have an uncle that would not tell you if the fish were even biting, much less what they are biting on. I just chuckle everytime I talk to him.
